mexican wedding

OAXACA Wedding at Hacienda Piedra Azul, El Tule.

Majo and Memel wedding celebration started the evening before the big day with a traditional “Calenda” (street parade). The meeting was at Santo Domingo plaza to end the party at a local bar a few blocks away from there.

The day of the wedding, Majo and Memel had another “Calenda” to walk their friends on their way to the reception. This time a giant puppets and traditional dancers walk everyone to the Hacienda Piedra Azul, an amazing location at El Tule, 20 minutes far from Oaxaca city.

One of the most lovely things I saw on this wedding (beside the incredibly emotive vows interchange) was a wall painted in a traditional mexican way to announce bride and groom’s names. Never seen this before!! What a lovely detail for them and for all the guests when walking on their way to the ceremony!!

Callejoneada and Wedding in San Miguel de Allende

Callejoneada, Cocktail for a welcome party, an emotional slideshow and speaches, lots of mexican delicious food and mariachi songs to musicalize the piñata time! What else you can ask to celebrate a day before the wedding with all your closest friends and family reunited because of your love?

Ashley and Patrick had a weekend full of celebrations in San Miguel de Allende, México and I was in charge to document those lovely moments. Pictures of the Callejoneada (mexican street parade) come first, then you’ll find my favourite moments from the wedding day, like the time when the car of the bride got stucked on the cobblestone streets while heading to the ceremony. Ashley arrives on time thak you to an anonymous heroe who took us to the church!

Thanks to my second camera and friend Fernanda Chinos to shoot with me, is always a pleasure to work with you!
